PlayStation Now's catalog just keeps expanding. Ready to subscribe?
As revealed over at the PlayStation Blog , Sony has added five new titles to the Now lineup. Chances are, you'll see a few games here that you'd like to try (if you haven't played them already):
There are currently around 115 games to sample in the PlayStation Now library, so your $20/month might be well worth it. You can also purchase a three-month subscription for $45, if you think you'll take full advantage of Now's streaming rental offerings.
Furthermore, the service is now available on more platforms. Sony says Now can be accessed on 2015 model Sony Blu-Ray players in the US, and select 2014 model Sony TVs in the US and Canada. It has always been the company's goal to bring PS Now to multiple devices and they're staying true to that goal.
If you're a subscriber, what do you think of the service? And if you're not, what's stopping you?
$20 a month is stopping me. And the inconsistent game performance. My game time is too valuable to settle for laggy reduced visual quality experiences.
I don't understand how Sony is to make money on this stuff.

Your experience with it was laggy? Do you run your PS3 wireless? My limited time was surprisingly mind blowing how well it worked, but I'm totally with you on the $20 a month thing. I'm not sure I would use it enough to get my $20 worth, and I don't like the idea of buying three month chunks to get the more reasonable monthly price.
The few days I was renting Enslaved: Odyssey to the West to check out the service, I have to say the it worked great! Surprisingly so. It was easy to forget that the game was actually being streamed. But $20 is that price-point that makes me think about how often I'll use it.
I wish I could do the 3-month $45 price point on a month-to-month basis, instead of buying it in three month chunks. That makes it $15 a month, which for some reason I'd be ok with doing even if I'm not using it that much. That $20 a month clicks something in my brain that gives me pause. Don't know why…
