If you're excited about the Titanfall sequel going multiplatform, as developer Respawn Entertainment revealed last month, you'll want more info.
Well, they're not putting out press releases just yet, but they're working on "a lot of stuff that people are going to be excited about." So says Respawn community manager Abbie Heppe, speaking in a recent EXL Podcast .
Among the highlights of the interview were Heppe's comments on working with a sequel, as they can focus on "the core of what Titanfall is." She added:
"We have assets, we have an engine, we have all of these things that we laid the foundation for in the first game that now we can really build off of in the second. So I think there's going to be a lot of stuff that people are going to be excited about. And that's all I can say."
As for whether or not the follow-up effort will boast a traditional campaign and more weapons, Heppe would only say the team has "definitely heard the feedback." Previously, Respawn boss Vince Zampella said he thought the original game worked well without that campaign, and the shooter genre is dominated by multiplayer, so I wouldn't hold your breath for a narrative-driven single-player adventure.
But you never know. Stay tuned for more as 2015 progresses.
