Tekken 7 might still be a ways off for consoles in the US, but at least we can check out some new gameplay.

During a 20th anniversary event for the series on Nico Nico, franchise executive producer and director Katsuhiro Harada announced three new characters for the game: Jin Kazama, Devil Jin, and Josie Rizal.

You're familiar with the first two (and of course, they're not entirely different) but Josie is a fresh face in the Tekken series. She's the first Filipina character the franchise has seen and she utilizes a kickboxing fighting style. The best part about this news? Harada unveiled gameplay for all three, which you can check out below.

Tekken 7 is currently scheduled to be exclusive to PlayStation 4, whenever it arrives.

interesting… xD but … kickboxing? I had pictured 'combat kali' or weapons-less 'arnis'. Weren't Tekken fighters suppose to 'indirectly' represent the martial arts most prominent in their origin? Or have I just been generalizing these characters waaay too much over the past 20 years lol.

Looking pretty slick! Another major fighting game exclusive to the PS4 – it's looking to be THE place for fighting games this gen!

Great to see Jin back, next up: Nina.

Really liking the progress so far with Tekken 7, pretty keen to try out of some of these new characters as well. Watched a few HD videos and the game is looking ace imo.

Wait, what?! Since when was Tekken 7 exclusive to PS4? Did I miss something…?

Anyway….looking pretty good. Jin/Devil Jin's return was a no-brainer. This new character looks…interesting. Not sure how I feel about her yet.

Yes… that is news to me aswell, did flirting with the Xbox last gen not pay off?

I actually don't mind Josie. She isn't over the top and too agile like Lilli or Alisa and her moves actually pack a punch. Personality wise she seems awful, but then so has every new character since Tekken 3.
