As usual, when it doesn't come from an official source, take it all with a grain of salt.
But it's well worth talking about, at any rate.
The upcoming firmware update 2.50 for PlayStation 4 may boast a lot of tasty treats for owners of Sony's latest console. More details have been leaked via Twitter : User "Is A Parrot" claims to have a friend who was in the firmware beta testing group. If true, it means we're getting the oft-rumored Suspend/Resume option, along with more accessibility features, a new data backup option, and more.
The PS4 might end up with a nifty text-to-speech option, and the new data backup functionality should be an appreciated alternative. As for Suspend/Resume:
"Suspend/Resume while watching Netflix. The PS4 will pick up where your watching and not just reboot the entire app. It's really in memory."
Sony hasn't formally announced any of these details, but it's not the first source to talk about a few such options. We'll find out soon enough; update 2.50 should be right around the corner.
