Usually, when you haven't heard about a game for a while, you can expect some big changes.

The good news is that Mad Max hasn't been canceled. The bad news is that if you don't have a next-gen console or a worthy PC, you won't be able to play it.

As per Game Informer's April cover , we learn that the upcoming effort from Avalanche Studios is only coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC; the PS3 and Xbox 360 editions have been ditched. Furthermore, the game is now slated to launch in early September. Said Warner Bros. to GameSpot :

"To ensure players get the best Mad Max experience possible, Avalanche Studios is focused 100% on developing the game for PS4, Xbox One and PC. This has allowed the studio to maximize the potential of those platforms and stay true to the core vision of Mad Max."

Lastly, the publisher confirmed that anyone who pre-orders the game will receive an additional Magnum Opus car body. It's called The Ripper and it looks pretty dang cool.

As a longtime fan of 'Mad Max', I've really been looking forward to this. Hopefully, it's good, because I'm willing to blind buy it based on my love of the films alone.

These guys know how to make crazy open-world games, so a Mad Max themed madness seems to be a perfect fit for this developer.

Can't wait! Also, it's confirmed for Linux too, so I'm one happy puppy. ūüôā

yeah well thats a not going with the trend of make games for the next gen only now cos theres enuogh console to justify it now but those older systems probably aren't up to scratch for these sort of games anymore, if i'm wrong feel free to say so and why i don't mind really

happy gaming
