What's the difference between 1080p and 900p?
Well, according The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt developer CD Projekt Red, "very little."
During a recent preview event, the team showed off the hugely anticipated RPG and attendees got a peek at all three upcoming versions (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC). As previously reported, the PS4 version hits 1080p while the Xbox One iteration can only manage 900. But Senior Art Producer Michał Krzemiński had a very diplomatic response to this, when prompted by GamingBolt :
"The answer is simple, we’re very confident of what we’ve managed to achieve. The Witcher is simply a good game, regardless of the platform you choose to play it on."
He added that there's "little difference" between 1080p and 900p in regard to the overall experience. In the end, the "numbers are just numbers" and "it’s the adventure and thrill you get from playing the game that counts." Hell, I've been saying that for years. I was bored of all this resolution talk about two minutes after it showed up on the scene.
If the game plays great and looks great, who cares?
