An iconic classic will soon return to PlayStation platforms.
Q*Bert Rebooted launched for PC last summer and as announced over at the PlayStation Blog , the "completely reimagined game" will release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Vita on February 17. They didn't confirm a price but as a frame of reference, the PC version went for $5.
Things have changed a little all these years later; for instance, there are hexagons and not cubes, and that drastically alters the levels. Plus there are new features such as time and score challenges, along with fresh enemies, and new playable characters, power-ups, and traps. If you don't like the idea of playing with those hexagons, don't worry; this version comes with the original classic formula. Said developer LOOT Entertainment:
" Q*Bert Rebooted is the equivalent of your old backyard treehouse refurbished by Bob Vila: same nostalgic joy, but magically just better. "
And don't forget that the title supports Cross-Buy so if you nab it for one PlayStation platform, you can have it for all PlayStation platforms! Well, all current ones. You know what I mean.
Well, I'm hooked.
