If you're not a fan of the dreaded "fetch quest" in role-playing games, you might really appreciate what CD Projekt Red is doing.
Well, that's the implication, anyway. Because when The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Lead Quest Designer Mateusz Tomaszkiewic spoke to Eurogamer.de (as cited by Worlds Factory ), he made the following comment about BioWare's extremely well-received Dragon Age: Inquisition :
"For my taste, it could do with less fetch quests. But it’s still a good game. Ultimately, it increases the diversity, which can never be wrong with role-playing games."
Now, in my estimation, it was easy to overlook the fetch quests because one got so involved with character advancement and the world around you. However, not everyone sees it this way. And this comment sort of says The Witcher 3 won't have as many fetch quests, which is music to the ears of some RPG followers.
What do you say?
