Ben-DutkaThere are a great many who are currently shedding tears of joy at this news. Okay, maybe not tears, but they're pretty giddy right about now.
In a recent interview with Nikkei Trendy (as translated by Gematsu ), Level-5 boss Akihiro Hino confirmed that his team is working on a PlayStation 4 title.
They're currently in the "early stages" of development but at least we know it's coming at some point. He said they might even "be able to announce it soon" and if it's another JRPG in the spirit of Ni no Kuni , that will suddenly become the most anticipated PS4 game for the long-time JRPG fanatics. Hino added that they'll be looking into using the PS4's new network features, and the project will obviously be about more than just graphics. This makes us a little nervous because the words "social media" and "multiplayer" don't really jive with games like Ni no Kuni .
Of course, Level-5 has created many other titles, too, such as the Professor Layton games, so there's no knowing what they'll produce for Sony's new system. Can't hurt to hope, though.

ooooo excitement! My lack of time has taken me away from Ni No Kuni and into short bursts of action gaming but I can't wait to get back to it after papers and finals. I hope it's a JRPG, maybe even an epic sequel to Rogue Galaxy! (Yeah I know that's unlikely)
Sounds like you're a university student. What do you study? Also I don't think you gave us an intro like highlander and beam did.
How did Ni no Kuni do as far as sales go?
I only ask that because that could determine whether or not you guys get a JRPG out of them.
Nothing impressive unfortunately.
I have to admit I lost interest in Ni No Kuni, the story just never progressed and it became tiresome to play,- I think if anything it was spoilt by playing the masterful Xenoblade just beforehand. I may get back to it one day but for now I am busy with other games.
Still a new JRPG from LEVEL5 will always catch my interest.
I feel like with Ni No Kuni you need to look for that little-Pokemon-Kid in you to enjoy all the cute moments that comes with the story. I know so because I'm currently playing the game. Heck, I paused playing Dark Souls altogether to continue playing NNK. I'm not sure how far into the game you're in, but there are some interesting twists in the story.
Give it another shot, bro.

I hope they'll make another JRPG similar to Ni No Kuni, which is a great game but the writing is way too kiddy for my tastes (Jeepers… really?)
I still think we should've gotten individual HP's. A tough and big familiar having the same HP as a frail sprite and having different defenses?
lol, i thought it was hilarious every time he says jeepers. You have to remember it's a fable, what is good is found in patterns and resolutions as opposed to higher storytelling forms.

It wasn't turn based….I think you played a different game.
I hope they make a new IP OR bring back an old franchise like Dark Cloud, Rogue Galaxy, or heck a next gen White knight game would be sick.
I always wished they would make a white knight game that played like that original trailer they released. The one with insane graphics where your party members held enemies and did combo attacks like that.
Either way, I love level 5 and will support them if they ever make a game on a console I own 🙂
