DmC: Definitive Edition Trailer Shows Off Super-Slick 60FPS

If you appreciate a blazing fast 60 frames per second in an already-blazing fast game, you'll love this.

It's a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming Definitive Edition for DmC: Devil May Cry , and it highlights the updated version's technical prowess.

Don't forget that in addition to 60fps, we'll get 1080p resolution throughout, "uprezzed graphics" (textures, characters and cinematics), along with Turbo Mode (the game runs 20 percent faster) and Hardcore Mode (a throwback to classic DMC days in regards to balance). Other features include Vergil Bloody Palace, Manual Target Lock and the brutal Must Style Mode.

It's all coming on March 17 to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for the very reasonable price of $39.99.

pfft. 1080p 60fps is so yesterday. It's all about 4K 120fps now. It's what my i7 9781 hex core OC'd 4 ghz, tri-sli GTX 780, 32 GB of DDR5 Death Jaw ram does in it's sleep on all of my games.
=p

it was running at 30fpr on PS3, but on PC it shouls have been close to or at 60 deepending on your friends PC.

While Ninja Theory did a prime job of making Unreal 3 handle DMC combat at 30, it hurt the graphics which would still have been lower rez on PC for what you saw. Kinda like Tomb Raider. People said PS4 was just getting the PC version with the definitive but it wasn't true. This new version will have the best textures and a locked 60 plus a couple other features.

I only wish Dante had an updated model, but the new costumes will be cool.

It isn't hard to hit 60fps on PC. In fact, it's a very rock solid 60fps with everything maxed out on a mid-range card with a decent cpu. I went with the PC version due to it being on sale for $30 about a month after release.

DMC should always be 60fps.

The problem is, on consoles where you have to compromise SOMETHING, developers will almost always go with pretty pictures over smooth gameplay, because you can't market a game on frames per second. You CAN market a game on pretty pictures.

Yet dmc 4 didnt compromise 60fps.

dmc 4 had the benefit of Konami's engine.

Devil May Cry 4 ran on the MT Framework engine, which was developed internally by Capcom.

So all it took was 2 years and a new console generation to get close to the original PC version. Awesome 😛
