Our Most Anticipated Unannounced Sequel: Dishonored 2

A few years back, a game called Dishonored took the gaming world by storm.

Not only did it blow me (and many other critics) away but it also took home our coveted Game of the Year Award for 2012. There's no doubt that tons of loyal fans have been anxiously awaiting news of a follow-up effort but thus far, no word from either developer Arkane Studios or publisher Bethesda.

Rumor has it that we might learn of a sequel in 2015 and if so, it would immediately become our most anticipated sequel of the new generation. Provided the game retains the same basic structure and foundation, it should be another clear-cut winner. We're just hoping the developers don't fall prey to the overriding themes and trends in the industry today; in other words, despite every major developer embracing the open-world sandbox structure, that's something we don't need in Dishonored 2 .

It was nice to have some freedom in each of the regions but making it a true open-world game would wreck it, in my estimation. I'd also like to see an even better narrative and perhaps a brighter, more vivacious environment. The city in the original was continually oppressive throughout; great for atmosphere but it did start to wear on me after a while. Anyone else out there really want this sequel? And if so, what changes or improvements would you like to see?

I really hope it explores the other regions mentioned in the lore they did an extremely good job in building the world.

Speak of the devil. I was just contemplating playing Dishonored for the 1st time. Found it on steam cheaply. Put it off for a while. Just got a new gaming mouse today and there's no other game I want to try it out on more than Dishonored right now.

In terms of unannounced sequels a new Deus Ex sure would be swell, though a pipe dream, I can always dream of a Vanquish 2.

Try Dishonored, you wouldn't honor yourself if you skipped out on it.

Have not played it, I saw some mixed reviews showing of the good and the ugly. I may just have to pick up the GOTY version and see for myself.

Keep playing!

The thing about the sequel that I want to see is simple: Better art style. It felt unnecessary and took away from what otherwise is a flawless game.

A sequel would make 2015 stupid awesome though. I don't know if I could fit everything in to play if thats the case.

As much as I loved Dishonored and I would love a sequel, Fallout 4 must come next. Bethesda needs to stop focusing on all the backburner ip's they have, pumping them out yearly. Getting real tired of them purposly ignoring their best ip's. Also the recent rumor of Fallout 4 having MP had damn well be 100% false! Or they're will be hell to pay. I will call upon a large group to bring down Bethesda.

Don't they have different developers though? I would assume a new dishonored would be developed by arcane studios again, which wouldn't really take many resources from bethesda. Well, aside from money, which I kinda doubt they're short on.

Someone please help me out here. I found Dishonored to be very mediocre & it sits unfinished on my shelf. Maybe it felt like I was being restricted within the areas or the environment was too static. The story didn't interest me very much & neither did the gameplay mechanics.

I'm not really here to say WAH WAH THIS GAME SUCKS but rather to hear what all of you liked about it. What am I missing? I played for weeks then just dropped it due to lack of interest.

I think it's just a matter of preference really, I'm not sure what about it struck a chord but for me it's one of those special games that I keep going back to.

My only request for the next one would be that, if they're gonna give you a hundred creative ways to kill people, don't try to make you feel like an ass at the end for using them.

"Hey look, you have all these cool gadgets and power to assassinate in ways we probably haven't even thought of yet. But if you have to much fun with that the city's screwed"

Yeah, I feel they got the balance between open world and a linear adventure just right. Also I'm getting sick of open world after thief, infamous, watch dogs, sniper elite, shadow of mordor, GTAV, assassins creed, far cry and dragon age this year. Not that any of those games were terrible, I just feel like something else now.

Dishonored for me was terrible. I though the controls were so bad, they left me not interested in anything beyond that. It all just felt very clunky.

But I know it has a huge following so a sequel would do the industry well.

meh, id rather something different!
dunno why but i get the vibe these guys would be the perfect team to do a really dark murder mystery game, something with strong supernatural themes but a more action focused gameplay with mixed detective scenes.
kinda like LA noire but even more action gunfight focused and obviously a dark horror back theme.

if they must do another dishonoured game though, please give us more bloody options for stealth!
one thing i hate about allot of stealth games these days, why can you only use your hands?
also why do so many stealth games not have a whistle or rock throw ability to gain attention?
AC unity I'm looking at you!
dishonoured was ok if you were happy to play it gun ho, so many options and cool gadgets to utilise.
but that was the problem, the game says to you ok you can choose this briefcase and get 500000000 dollars to spend on whatever you want, or take this briefcase and your my slave for the rest of your life.
one is sure to be a heck of allot of fun, the other not so much.
thats dishonoured in a nutshell!
get tons of gadgets to rip and shred your enemies, or just play the whole game with your bare hands as your weapon.
yea, i'll take the tons of bombastic weapons thanks!
so whats the point of asking me to make a decision, if your pretty much making the decision for me anyway?
