That's the point developer Techland wants to drive home with this new interactive Dying Light trailer.
How can a trailer be "interactive," you ask? Well, it acts like a classic Choose Your Own Adventure book, in that you'll be asked to make a choice at various points in the 30-minute video. The idea is that you'll get a sense of the open-ended, free-flowing world on display in the game. How you approach survival is up to you, but being overly cautious could end up being just as deadly as being rash.
If you're into the idea, you should start the video over and try new options. Dying Light is scheduled to land on store shelves on January 27 in North America for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
