Here's a feature many have requested.
The Friend Login Notification might be just around the corner for PlayStation 4.
Sony has published a new trailer that teases Play and Chat and while the video is only about 50 seconds long, there's a big clue at the 10-second mark. There's that Friend Login Notification, which has been a feature PlayStation fans have wanted ever since the PS4 first released late last year. In the past, Sony has hinted at the possibility of implementing the feature and now, it appears it's finally coming.
It's hardly official and we still have no idea when it'll actually arrive, but at least we know it's coming. Well, we're pretty sure it's coming.
I just want to turn off the notification that so and so has joined a party.
Seriously, that is so damn annoying.
*Knightzane has replied to a comment before joining a party*
"Your friends are all in a party while you're sitting all alone playing solo"
Followed by
"Trophy unlocked"
Just kidding 😀
If you would just look through the Notification settings, you would realize the option already exists. Not to be rude or anything but it's like right there.
Mdash appears to be right! Thank you sir for pointing this out. It's the only one in that list I am turning off.
No rudeness taken, I figured it was there somewhere I'm just at the place in life where I've stopped fighting technology's default settings and started complaining about them and finding workarounds.
@WorldEndsWithMe Pretty sure you can now, I managed to. You can manage which notifications pop up somewhere in settings 😀
Yup. Pretty annoying. Especially when watching a movie or Netflix.
Do I really need to know that someone has logged off? Not really!
I thought they had removed that so we didnt see the quick login/logout when someone has to update a game. The party announcements are constant. Who knew that there were that many grown men out there wanting to gab while gaming….

I'm only 32 but feel 60. I don't want to tweet what game I'm playing. I don't want to record a video, read a walkthrough or watch a video walkthrough. I don't care what game you're playing unless it's the same one & you invite me. I could give a flying elephant crap about trophies either. How about implementing features like auto resume? Here's another feature you might wanna consider for a gaming console: games. Preferably in the form of 1st party & co op.

Well just another thing to turn off like the joining a party notifications. Sony needs to put comments back and the ability avi pictures.
I ment to say the ability change avi pictures
Couldn't care less. Hope there will be possibility to turn the damn thing off.
Does anyone over 15 years old really care about this crap? I haven't played online since Call of Duty: MW2. I got on and someone said, "crap, we got the noob". Signed off and have proudly stayed that way ever since. It is a hotspot for immaturity and ignorance, not to mention cheating and hacking. This is going to be something that adds to the list that makes me not want to play games anymore. If it weren't for system updates and the PS Store, as well as apps (Netflix, et al), I wouldn't even be connected to the internet. Sorry for the rant, but this pisses me off. GET ME MORE (3rd Person) games!
I just want them to fix the messaging system…as of right now its a wasted feature. Its so broken, I dread it whenever a friend sends me an important message. No telling how many times the message gets stuck at 97% and fails to send. Ditto for the PS app.
Why the hell does it take so long to send a message bruh!? Anyone else have this issue?
And by the way, I have 108 mbps internet, so speed isn't the issue…
Not broken. It has problems but messages can still be sent and received.
I think the problem is on server end of things. I've noticed messages and the store lag at the same time.
