There are lots to be thankful for in the industry today; what do you most appreciate?

Perhaps you're a big fan of downloadable content (expanding on an existing great game always used to be a dream of kiddies back in the day), or you just love the fact that so many games come out each and every year.

It's always easy to complain. In fact, complaining is what humans do best. However, when it comes time to give thanks, we should always focus on the positives. Yeah, some games in 2014 didn't deliver in the way we all expected them to, while others just plain didn't show up. Then you've got the bugs and glitches, along with a series of news stories that unfortunately showed off the darker side of the industry. It's easy to get disillusioned but don't forget that at the end of the day, you can still enjoy yourself.

So, when you walk into your gaming space and you look around, what are you most thankful for in 2014?

Bethesda. With games like Fallout and TES and them publishing both Dishonored AND The Evil Within, I can't help but be thankful for Bethesda. Two of my favorite games of all time were put out thanks to Bethesda.

Also thankful for all the easter eggs and references in The Evil Within. From the Fallout vault posters to the trophies "Master of unlocking" to "A La Corvo" which is of course a reference to Jill from Resident Evil 1 and Corvo from Dishonored.

Mainly I'm thankful for The Evil Within. That game…. Simply sublime. Also thankful for the community on here who continues to be the most colorful group of people I've ever had the pleasure of reading what they have to say.

Hope everyone had a great and safe day and have fun recovering tomorrow.

Passing on the joy of gaming to the next generation. My 8 year old son can now beat me at FIFA and Sonic Racing.

Seeing the gaming glint in his eye and thinking "should I really be encouraging that" and then remembering the pleasure gaming has given me over the years and saying "yes, it is a great gift to have".

Does anyone knows of a good deal on a PSN+ 12 months subscription?

I guess I'm glad I decided to renew my PS+ subscription through PSN to get the $15 credit in October (Drive Club + PSN Plus). This way I knew even if the Black Friday deal didn't come through I'd still effectively have gotten a year of PS+ for $35.

If you're ready to game again and want to take advantage of this deal like I did, Sony is offering the same promo this month.

Sounds lame but, Sony itself. I don't care what anybody says, this is a company whose gaming branch consistently demonstrates to me that they care about us the gamers as well as our money.

I'm also thankful for this community, I'm sorry with my new job I don't have much time to write and post articles but hopefully I'll find some time again soon.

Gamers and thankful in the same sentence structure? I do not compute such levels of English literature. Are you speaking Shakespearean?

Family, friends and food on the table :). About gaming in particular, that it exists, and that it's awesome and keeps getting better and more diverse every year :).

That we live where our government doesn't limit access to content that might be anti-socialist.
