When the highly anticipated PlayStation 4 firmware update 2.00 released last week, it brought with it a bunch of great features.
Themes, customizable music lists and Share Play were among those features but unfortunately, the update also caused a well-documented "Rest Bug."
This bug basically freezes the console after entering Rest Mode. Thankfully, though, Sony has issued a fix-it update, as Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida posted on Twitter :
"System software 2.01 is out for PS4, which fixes the Rest Mode issue. This is not a forced update. #PS4share"
As it isn't mandatory, there's no reason to download it if you haven't experienced that Rest Bug. I have, though, so I have to see if this fixes the issue. It has also caused problems with some of the games I'm currently reviewing, so here's hoping the new update alleviates that stress as well.
