Developer Sledgehammer Games has said repeatedly that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is a direct response to the legions of fans asking for something new.
That's why studio co-founder Michael Condrey reinforced the freshness of the new installment in a recent Best Buy Google Hangout session.
Condrey said we've "never played a Call of Duty this way before," and you can thank the three-year development cycle:
"I think that was really what that extra year gave us, the chance to break a few things. To maybe alienate a few ideas to bring Sledgehammer's take to Call of Duty. And maybe push boundaries further than people were comfortable and then pull it back if we went too far."
Perhaps the most significant – and talked-about – addition to the series is the futuristic exosuit, which gives players a wide array of super skills. This won't change the entire nature of the game, of course, and Condrey wanted to make it plain that Advanced Warfare is still CoD. The same "high production values of campaign" can be expected as well…and they had best deliver on that score, I say.

I'll believe it when I see it..
COD is the same every year ppl claim the new game is the so called shit then when it gets here e1 cries the previous game was better it happened w bo mw3 n
Bo2 n ghosts n I'd be surprised if it don't happen again
this game's the first since world at war that they've tried to do anything remotely different, can't say it'll be better yet but its definitely going to be different.
That's because, in my opinion at least, every CoD has been worse than the last. After all these years of continuous CoDs, CoD4 still remains the best in my eyes. It's not nostalgia either cause I recently just played it online again (surprised the servers are still up) and it held up perfectly. The only thing that felt dated is the ability to pull the plug, or for the host to leave to end the game, but that was pretty standard back in 2007.
Huh? [email protected] wasn't different….the cod series started as a ww2 shooter. Mw was the departure. ..for those of us who fell in love with the game kinda wish it would fall back to its roots….but, alas I'm old.
One extra year worked wonders for Drive Club! =p
I love the new pic.
thanks. i need to update it though. ive since gotten a legendary cloak and helmet. all i need now is a legendary primary weapon and he,s complete….until madness persuades me to keep playing towards some other vain pursuit.
Every Call of Duty is apparently not like anything we have ever played.
The co op in this game DOES look like some fun, I doubt Ill pick it up unless all the DLC and the game goes on sale for cheap.
Too many amazing looking games coming out in the next 6 months for me to waste my time with this 😛
if days were 48 hours long and my life span were twice what it is, I give it a shot. Unfortunately I'm currently playing Shadow of Morder, Madden, and Minecraft. 2k15/Assassin's Creed/Dragon Age are slated to be next, and after that Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight. By the time I would get to this all the 12 year olds would have Prestiged 100 times and curse me for being a noob.

Not even Kevin Spacey will make me want to buy this game.
Absolutely disgusting!
He should! Just watch The Usual Suspects.
The Usual Suspects defined Kevin Spacey, and solidified him as an actor. Awesome movie!
And yeah, Advanced Warfare will have to wait in the bargain bin. Too many good games to play in the next few months.
I haven't played a CoD game since MW2. Sometimes I fill the need of killing some virtual people so I will get this for my PS4
