Evolution Reveals The Wheels That Will Work With Driveclub

If you're a hardcore racing fanatic, you don't believe in using a regular gamepad.

No, you want to use your awesome racing wheel, and it'd be a great help to know which wheels are compatible with an upcoming driving game, right?

Then visit the PlayStation Blog , where they tell you which wheels will work with the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive. As it turns out, developer Evolution Studios has been "working really closely" with Thrustmaster. They even spent time with pro drivers and got to see what they can do behind the wheel of a Thrustmaster T300RS:

"It was epic to see Sebastian Loeb acing almost every corner of an epic downhill point-to-point route set in Canada — and set one of the fastest lap times we’ve ever seen — on his first go. And watching Daniel Juncadella go up against near-perfect AI and stay wheel-to-wheel with them all the way to finish line was awesome!"

They want to support more Thrustmaster wheels as well as wheels from other providers, but for now, here's what will work:

Driveclub is just around the corner; it'll be ready to go on October 7.

Yeah.. I saw that coming. After reading more about the Immersion, their settlements dating back to '07 (which clearly settled at each console requires new licenses), and Logitech being a partner of Immersion (also having used their products in Logitech's stuff)… Toppled with the Thrustmaster partnership and face of Sony's PS4… Finally settled with Logitech will not pay for licensing again on products that are already sold and owned by consumers…

My God, did I just throw $500 away? Maybe not. Maybe, JUST MAYBE, if Logitech DOES create another wheel package for the PS4, then they'll be willing to license their products. Until that happens, though, I'll be sitting here all like "YOU'VE GOT TO BE FUCKING KIDDING ME!!!"

No big deal. Business as usual. Carry on, minions. There's money to be made!

For reference sake, on NEOGAF by one AMAR212, post #107:

Ben, I hope you're alright with the link. I just figured there are plenty of us out there who are far too discombobulated by all this no-support ruckus… Such a horribly painful pill to swallow.

Thanks for the info DemonNeno, I've been wondering why there hasn't been any Logitech wheel support on the PS4. I don't have a wheel so it doesn't matter to me, but it's been a bitter subject for me since a buddy of mine has moved away from consoles this generation because of the lack of support for his pricey G27 racing wheel. Seems like a silly reason to me but whatever.

He was the main person I gamed online with too. Real bummer.

well i do love me some racing games but i usually have to just use the controller i never have enough cash to buy a hard out wheel in saying that though i had a cheap one for the ps2 a while back which i think is sitting in my closet atm but yeah they also take a but of getting use to i think i'll just stick to the controller for awhile enough i would like a gear stick cos i drive a manual car in real life so i'm use to it but never mind that

happy gaming
