Whenever you're in need of colorful, inspired projects, browse the PlayStation Store.
So many unique little games reside there, and here's another one for next year: As announced over at the PlayStation Blog , it's called Shu , and it's a 2.5D side-scrolling platformer.
Boasting beautiful hand-drawn characters, players will harness "unique abilities" during the course of their desperate journey. A storm that could end the world is nipping at your heels, and you must press forward to safety, all the while rescuing stranded villagers. It's your job to guide them to safety but you have to be quick about it: "Can you outrun the end of the world?"
A collaborative effort between Coatsink Software and Secret Lunch, the game captures the concept of "saving relics of your past and present, and moving through the remnants of earlier civilizations." The developers' inspirations include classic platformers like Klonoa and Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee .
Shu is scheduled to release in mid-2015 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Vita.
