Destiny madness is in full swing.
Activision and Bungie have announced a "first-of-its-kind" partnership with energy drink company Red Bull to promote the launch of the hugely anticipated game.
Basically, one of the game's developers is gonna jump out of an airplane. Yep, one member of the Bungie team will skydive with an Optic Gaming coach and the Red Bull Air Force on Monday, September 8. Afterward, they will join gamers at a special Destiny launch event. This may or may not coincide with the recently announced community launch event set for the same day.
The skydiving mission will be chronicled in a three-part web series called "Destiny Drop Zone: Optic Gaming Take to the Sky," created by Red Bull. The series will explain how the jumpers prepare for the trip…part of my preparations would be running and hiding, damnit. But hey, whatever floats your boat.
