Last we heard, the game had failed Sony's certification test and developer 4J Studios would have to get back to us.

We figured that meant the release date was still a ways off. But apparently, it didn't take long to fix the problem, because Minecraft is now available on PlayStation 4.

Sony has announced that the release date is officially today, and the game retails for $19.99. If you already purchased the game on PS3, you can nab the upgraded version for only $5. Also, all downloadable content previously purchased for the PS3 version can be accessed for free on PS4, and all your saved content will carry over as well. Sony has said in the past that the PS4 version of Minecraft can generate worlds as much as 36 times larger than the worlds we could create in the PS3 version.

Well, what are you waiting for? Get to it!

In other news, Sony has unveiled their next flagship phone, the Xperia Z3.

Now why is this relevant on a Playstation site? Because the Z3 will support PS4 remote play. Mount this mobile to your dualshock and you essentially got a portable (at least within your wifi range) with the power of the PS4.

Can we say, "so long Vita, and thanks for all the fish"?

More like say hello to another Sony phone that will never make it to the US outside of insane priced direct order from Sony. =

Really? All Sonys phones are in all stores here in Norway. We can pre-order the Z3 now in all major online retail stores.

It's costly, yes, but Sonys flagship phones *always* harvest high ratings. Fantastic products.

I'm not giving that egotistical douche Notch a cent of my money. Funny how he put Minecraft on PC,Xbox, and then Playstation last. Pc master race/xbot jackoff. When he seen how many sheep was buying his game and making him profit, then he was like "Now I'll bring it to that other system, the Pl..ay..stat..ion..? yeah that thing."
So f-you Notch!

Notch isn't involved with Minecraft anymore IIRC. Can't blame a company for wanting to make some more money either?
