The rumors have proven correct.

We've seen plenty of evidence to support the idea that both Journey and The Unfinished Swan are headed to the PlayStation 4, and now it's official.

As announced over at the PlayStation Blog , both titles have been confirmed for Sony's new console. In collaboration with developers Tricky Pixels, Thatgamecompany will help deliver the multiple award-winning Journey to the PS4 with enhanced 1080p visuals, while Giant Sparrow (in conjunction with Armature Studio) will bring you The Unfinished Swan , also with 1080p graphics.

They'll give us more details later – we'll probably hear about it during Sony's Gamescom briefing today – but for now, it's nice to know they're coming. Both are excellent games and well worth playing, especially if you haven't already.

Who needs new games on PS4 when all we need are 1080p 60fps PS3 ports!
I wonder if GoW Remasters will be Sony's big showstopper announcement at Gamescom! So excited.

1080p 60fps is all we PS4 gamers need!
it's as if Sony knew we were all PC gamers at heart after all.

is this before or after you read that the next TR game is an XO exclusive?

Temjin, I don't really understand their decision for making it exclusive. It's a smaller userbase… I just don't get it. Is there any way of knowing if MS purchased exclusivity?

It makes perfect sense to MS. Lara Croft is Europe's most iconic contribution to video games. What better way to boost Xbox One's european appeal than to make it an exclusive? MS could dump 50 million on a self-made XO exclusive that would make limited penetration over there or instead just put it into something that europeans already love.

Why the heck would S-E agree to this and piss off the majority of PS fans is beyond me. S-E is insane. Simple as that. Either that or MS coughed up so much freaking money that they couldn't resist. I bet Crystal Dynamics will be receiving more hate mail than anyone….. even if it probably wasn't their call at all.

And hey… who knows… given how some games in the past have gone, (Mass Effect, anyone?) it will probably come to us eventually anyways.

I didn't know that! Wow Microsoft is really flailing to buy that away from people. The market will hate them for it, and it will go bad. Then it will come to PS4 anyway.

oh yes. the hatred will be heavy. it's one thing to lock down a new ip, a game that hasn't proven itself and hasn't grown a base of followers, but it's another when it's a legendary franchise. This is Tomb Raider we're talking about, with fans reaching across many platforms for well over a decade, almost two. Now it's locked down to a disastrous console…. especially in Europe. So much for REBOOTING the franchise. S-E will lose everything they gained from MS by making this move.

This is classic MS style business. I also think Crystal Dynamics should just shut up about all of this "it's what's best for TR" and all that crap. Whatever.
It's best that your game is now restricted to a smaller percentage of gamer?
Yea, ummm whatever.

I wouldn't re-purchase either for PS4, but for anyone who has a PS4 that never got the chance, I highly recommend Journey. I still turn it on from time to time. So good. Music was nominated for a grammy, too.

Unfinished Swan was alright, but nothing that warrants a must buy.

The blog confirmed them as cross-buy, so if you bought them once then you're good.

Actually, it was confirmed in the comments by Aaron Kaufman.

I loved Journey, I mean really loved it, it was just such a magical experience and I remember the first time I realised that little dude running around was another player I was blown away. I didn't even know the game had coop until then. But, as much as I loved it, I don't think I'll be getting it again on PS4. If you haven't played it yet though it really is amazing.

TLOU Remastered sold over 1.5 million already.

Hard to imagine no one wants them.

Like Underdog, and the rest of the free world economy says, as long as they are bought and paid for they will keep on being made. You might not want them, and others may not either, but there is a large chunk of change being thrown that direction. Also, does it matter really? I mean I don't see it hindering any games so far so it's all gravy to me.

Theres plenty of games coming out to be complaining about a few remakes… Besides TLoU and these two they just announced are the only games Sony has remade, all others has been from 3rd parties that even Xbox is getting like Metro,Tomb Raider, Sleeping Dogs, and GTA5
