Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light are getting a significant upgrade, and you'll appreciate the work developer 4A Games has put into these titles when Metro Redux drops for next-gen consoles and PC on August 26.

In a new trailer, they show off the visual enhancements by comparing new vs. old: We check out the improvements made to the particle effects, AI and lighting; the Redux versions are much brighter and more detailed. The team even streamlined the experience by cutting down on the number of loading screens, as transitioning from area to area will now be a seamless experience. Lastly, each level has been overhauled to feature more geometry and better weather effects, along with graphical alterations depending on the time of day.
