Here's a good reason to tune into Gamescom coverage next month.

Konami has announced their Gamescom 2014 lineup and perhaps most enticing of all, the publisher says they will highlight "major advances" in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

They'll also show off PES 2015 and both games "perfectly demonstrate the versatility and power of Kojima Productions' FOX Engine, while delivering a new experience in visual quality and the power of the new wave of console systems." In regards to Kojima's next brainchild, Konami says Gamescom attendees will be able to see the "sheer scale and ambition" of the production. Remember that this is – for the most part – an open-world adventure, with much more freedom than any previous series iteration.

They'll also reveal "new details," which is good news 'cuz MGSV hasn't been grabbing many headlines lately.

Oh man the anticipation to see how everything unfolded for the Boss makes this game so desirable. I seriously can't wait to see more about it at Gamescom. However, Bloodborne takes priority over everything, and therefore if this comes on after Bloodborne I probably won't tune in.

Bloodborne BROOOODBORNE.

MGS V:PP is probs my most anticipated new-gen game (well, that, Witcher 3 and Star Citizen), so will be very interested to hear what they've been up to, although don't want to know too much before actually playing the game m'self. Ground Zeroes is my fave game in a good while (since TLoU, and probably enjoyed just as much).
