Fans of the original film, pay attention.

Today, Sega of America, Inc., Sega Europe, Ltd. and Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products have announced exclusive pre-order bonus content for Alien: Isolation . This content will boast the voiceover performances and likenesses of key cast members from the 1979 Ridley Scott classic, "Alien."

This will include Academy Award-nominated and Golden Globe-winner Sigourney Weaver (Ellen Ripley), Tom Skerritt (Dallas), Veronica Cartwright (Lambert), Harry Dean Stanton (Brett), Yaphet Kotto (Parker), and Ian Holm (Ash). They will lend their talents to two downloadable missions, both of which allow players to relieve "two classic scenes from the movie." Check out the worldwide video premiere of the cast, along with the Pre-Order Trailer, at IGN .

Said Alien: Isolation Creative Lead Alistair Hope:

"Working with the original cast has been an incredible experience. It was important to us to have the key original cast members reprise their roles in order to perfectly capture the atmosphere of the movie. For some of the original cast, this is their first appearance in an Alien video game. Seeing them reprise those roles after 35 years was an unforgettable experience."

Pre-ordering the game will net you a free upgrade to the Nostromo Edition, which includes the bonus content "Crew Expendable." We'll choose to play as one of three surviving crew members, only moments after Brett dies. As Ellen Ripley, Dallas, or Parker, players will explore the Nostromo habitation deck down through engineering, coordinating their efforts with Lambert and Ash to lure the Alien into the ship's airlock.

Putting your deposit down at GameStop will get you "Last Survivor," where players pick up the original story as Ripley tries to escape on the Narcissus. You'll have to work your way back through the Nostromo to activate the self-destruct sequence, and then hot-foot it back to the Narcissus shuttle to escape.

For the first time in a very long while, I'm seriously tempted to pre-order a game. How's about you?

Those sound like awesome reasons to preorder. You can always give it back unopened if the review scores are terrible (really wish I had done that with Colonial Marine.)

That's just insanely dumb, are they seriously saying that the only missions that feature the original Alien cast are the bonus ones only for pre-order buyers??

That is why it is called 'Pre-Order Content'. I am sure they will put these missions up for purchase to those that do not preorder. I already have my copy on lock so I will definitely be enjoying the perks. LOL

Tom Skerritt should be a DLC character in every game.
