Length is always a concern when it comes to single-player adventures.

And if you're wondering how long the new Alien: Isolation will be, we've got some good news:

According to lead game designer Gary Napper speaking during a recent Angry Joe interview , Creative Assembly's new game will take about 15 hours to complete.

This is indeed a linear adventure, but Napper promises that players will have plenty of opportunity to explore. He describes it as "a bit like a 'Metroidvania' game," in that you can return to previously explored areas and open up new areas. I've always liked that setup because it forces you to keep a map of your travels in your mind, and I always loved it when I'd say, "Oh, I can use this to get over there!"

Of course, there's no guarantee you'll spend 15 hours with the game. As Napper explained:

"The difficult thing is nailing a time because people can play for absolutely ages without even seeing the alien because they're being really careful and really stealthy. They've done nothing to call him down or there have been no explosions that he has come to investigate. Those people can get through it fairly quickly."

Alien: Isolation is set to hit the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on October 7. And no, it's not a shooter; it's actually more of a survival/horror game, which sounds perfect when one considers the original "Alien" film.

As someone who doesn't follow the herd when it comes to games, I rather enjoyed just about every Alien game thats released. But for some odd reason, I have some serious doubts about this one. ACM had cool moments and a good structure with nothing fixed or anything being coded correctly. The game was subpar at best.

This one hasn't grasped me yet. And I love bad games.

Why would you even compare the two games? They're made by two different developers. They're based on two different movies and they're completely different genres. Your logic is utterly retarded.

Someone did nt see the latest gameplay i guess . That or you re not really a fan of the original alien movie .

That game seem like the best yet to represent the first movie horror element.

This is in my top5 most anticipated games coming out this year. Alien is such a fantastic film, one of the reasons being the setting and atmosphere. So glad to see a game trying to duplicate this. Games based on Aliens might as well be called COD.

Alien Outlast then. Sounds good but I'll just wait for it to be on Plus Instant Game Collection.

Happy? I didn't say "free"
