If you're not into the simulated scene, perhaps you'll enjoy the old-school arcade-y approach to baseball.

Developer MLB Advanced Media has announced that R.B.I. Baseball 14 is coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 24, and it'll retail for $19.99. It previously released on April 9 for the PS3, Xbox 360, iOS and Android devices.

MLBAM will also deliver a game update later this summer, and that will bring a competitive multiplayer mode and a "special alumni pack" for all the console versions of the game. This pack will add 60 former MLB stars from the earliest days of the franchise, which means we should see diamond heroes from the '80s and '90s. The game boasts a simple two-button control scheme and unlockable retro jerseys as well.

Okay, but unless they've made the game a lot better – the 360 version currently holds a 32.40% at GameRankings – I'm not sure how interested we should be.

I still play the original game on the NES. I'll definitely pick this up on the PS4, just to satify my childhood.

I think it's hilarious how much money this thing has been making.
