As usual, the new Battlefield will hit store shelves before the new Call of Duty .

Electronic Arts has published the official teaser trailer for the upcoming Battlefield: Hardline , and that's how we discover the date: October 21.

This makes the third straight Battlefield installment to have beaten the new CoD to market; this year's Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is slated to hit on November 4. Of course, this jump doesn't mean EA has the sales edge; CoD always outsells Battlefield , often by a 2-1 margin. However, it'll be interesting to see how this year's shooter battle stacks up…

As for the trailer, the inevitable comparisons to the Advanced Warfare debut trailer will now ensue. We're not passing any judgment; we leave that to you.
