Developer 4A Games is "nearly" ready to unveil something very awesome for the PlayStation 4.

Earlier this year, the team confirmed that they'll deliver their two well-received Metro games to next-gen consoles.

The Twitter page for the franchise recently posted up the following message:

"Are you ready? Because we really, nearly are…"

They also added an intriguing Vine video, which shows off the DualShock 4, the PS4's Dashboard, and at least one of the Metro games in question. Is this Metro Redux , which will include Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light ? It appears so. No word yet on when this compilation will arrive but we imagine the designers will spill the beans at E3 in a few weeks time.

We still don't know what will be included in Redux ; i.e., what improvements and additions we can expect, but that's okay. Two great games in one bundle is more than enough to pique our interest.

Hmmmm, are we sure this is from one of the 1st 2 games, & not an entirely new Metro game????

I ask because I just finished both Metro 2033 & Last light & if I'm not mistaken, I don't remember seeing that spoke wheel that's on the ground "anywhere", in either of those 2 games.

Yup, you're right, I'm wrong.

It's the re-done versions of the 1st 2 games, & all the info's now on the PS Blog.

I thought for sure it was already revealed for PC, XOne, and PS4, a month or two ago. And that is was indeed basically just going to be a re-release. Maybe with some additional content possibly if we're lucky but I've already finished the first two games, so I most likely will bypass this if that's the case.

Think I'll pass, even if I did have to miss the first game. It's time to let the past be the past.

I'm interested! I don't have either yet, so a compilation is great news to me, especially if there are improvements and bonuses. I think I'll add the PS4 version to the list of PS4 titles I'm interested in collecting.

If it really is a two-game bundle, that will be mine 🙂

that could work too. HEY, heres part 2 of this game, and HEY, we polished up the original turd so now you can spend more time on this series.

It makes sense for me because I always wanted to try the Metro series, but the first wasn't on the PS3 and, because of that, I wasn't willing to jump straight into the world/story of Last Light.

nice to see such amazing games come to next gen systems, one franchise that has not seen half the success it deserves!
that said though i hope this tanking does not hurt the franchises, or developers future.

Hopefully with Redux, it will definitely help them by raising interest in future titles, thus driving potential development further.

hopefuly, but i doubt it will.
more like deep silver are going to turn around and say sorry guys, but your last 2 games did not score too well in reviews, nor did they sell well, so its time to pull the plug.

can we please stop with the hd remixes of older games, its a sad way for these companies to polish turds. NO ONE CARES! or else your original game wouldve sold well. so stop remaking them with the HD gimmick. ridic. either make a brand new game to entice the consumer and be like OMG part 2 or for those who havent heard or tried first, itll encourage them to buy it.

I personally have no opinion on either yet, as I have not yet even tried a Metro game on any platform. I do know I'm interested however, and heard/read largely favorable things about Metro: Last Light.

I hazard a guess that you've tried the first @shaytoon and didn't quite appreciate it? What have you tested it out on? Hopefully if that's the case, this gives them the opportunity to polish up the first as well and eliminate any glaring issues.
