The New Order Launch Trailer Arrives, Release Date Set

It's almost time for B.J. Blazkowicz to blast some baddies.

Bethesda has released a launch trailer for the upcoming Wolfenstein: The New Order ; it's called "House of the Rising Sun" and presents you with the various challenges you'll face during the course of the new adventure.

Set in an alternate-reality 1960s, when the Nazis controlled the world due to mysteriously advanced technology, it's up to B.J. and his team of resistance fighters to take down the oppressive regime. The anticipated game is scheduled to launch for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on May 20. Pre-ordering will get you into the DOOM beta (whenever that arrives), but bear in mind that the beta test will only be available on next-gen consoles and PC.

If The New Order does well, creative director Jens Matthies said his team at MachineGames has plenty of ideas for a follow-up effort. Well, let's hope this one is a fun, worthwhile shooter.

Oh, that looks so amazing! I want this so bad. I just do not have the money for this. My son is going to want Mario Kart 8 and that takes precedence over this old school FPS gem. I will get it later on this summer. I hope it sells well so we can expect another Wolfenstein entry down the road.

This looks better and better every time I see it. As long as the controls are tight I'm definitely going to pick this up over the summer.
