There's one game this month you may have forgotten about…
It's Bound by Flame , the latest effort from developer Spiders, and it's coming to consoles and PC later this week. If you missed it, catch up by reading our recent preview .
An action/RPG with a heavy emphasis on hack 'n slash combat, you play as a mercenary who's possessed by a demon. That evil spirit within you grants you special powers, but every time you give in to the darkness, you lose a piece of your human soul. If you continue to use those powers, you will soon be consumed by darkness…but then again, maybe that's what you're going for.
Players can switch between Warrior and Ranger during battle; as you might expect, the Warrior lands devastating melee attacks via two-handed weapons, while the Ranger is quick and agile and can dual-wield daggers and other smaller weapons. The Ranger can even be stealthy at times. Will you simply use your human abilities or will you let the demon inside have his way?
Bound by Flame will be available on May 9 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Funny, this game just went through my head. Yeah I really want it I think so I'm curious about the price.
I don't think it will be that great but sometimes that's part of what I like about supporting upcoming developers. I could really see a grand vision behind Mars: War Logs that was held back by budget constraints and such. Sometimes I like to play a game that isn't as big and flashy as the AAA's but has more heart and soul in it because you could feel it working on different levels in the story of Mars. It was like it had a deep history even if the gameplay didn't amount to a ton.
I saw their 25 minute or so gameplay demonstration and I have to say it looks better than I thought it would be. I am probably going to grab this game as well.
So… Will you let the demon have its way with you?

I'm going to have to see some more gameplay but it looks pretty interesting. If it provides a good challenge and has varied interesting combat I will probably pick it up.

No idea what your problem is but it's going to stop, one way or the other.
Might be worthwhile on the cheap. There is also the drought to think about.
I'm not sure about this one, but I do know that it looks interesting. If it averages 70+ I'll pick it up on the cheap some day.
