How much longer before we receive a new launch date for the PlayStation 4 exclusive Driveclub ?

Well, we might get all the pertinent information even before E3. As developer Evolution Studios revealed at the game's Facebook page , the official date, full game details, and new trailers will be handed out "in the weeks to come."

"We are going to bring you up to speed with a full Driveclub update soon, because we are immensely proud of how the game is developing and we’re confident you’ll see why when we show you more."

E3 is slated for mid-June, so maybe Evolution will spill the beans before the event. Despite going back to the drawing board, so-to-speak, Sony confirmed that the game had made "spectacular progress" last month. We're really hoping Driveclub lives up to some rather lofty expectations, because games like Project CARS may provide some seriously stiff competition.

Here's hoping Driveclub will be ready for the upcoming holiday season.

As long as it's free for plus members I'll be happy 🙂

Lofty expectations for Driveclub? Who has them?

I reckon it'll get a pre-E3 reveal, with a release date set for some time before September. It needs to avoid the holiday rush, Project CARS, and just competition in general. Makes me wonder if there's a new Need for Speed in the works for this year, though.

and, for how many months now, have they been saying this?
i remember someone asked shu when we were going to see driveclub again in late jan on twitter, and he said a few weeks!
so i guess $onys weeks last for months then.
no wonder there always so slow and late on releasing things!
oh well, made my decision on not wasting my time on this that much easier.
wake me up when $ony finally realises the potential in a open world gran turismo, and please for the love of god, dont turn it into another f*cking facebook game!

I just wonder if there's room for this game now that it can't use PS4 newness as a selling factor. It could sell as a Gran Turismo 7 tide over.

Unfortunately for me, this game is the reason I preordered my PS4. And as much as I was hyped for it, releasing a proposed launch game a year later will not be acceptable. If the complete retail version isn't available as a PS+ game (and I have no reason to believe it will be) then I will be buying this game used as I do not want one red cent to go to Sony and all parties affiliated with the game. I have The Crew preordered and Destiny comes out a few weeks later so my PS4 will finally reach fruition but Drive Club will forever be my albatross.

I totally agree with you.
It was the reason I preordered mine too.

On a side note I'm sick of these announcements for announcements. Either announce something important or just stay quiet and work on the game.I get that there is a need to build hype for things but when the game 'went back to the drawing board' and completely off the radar, it should just release and blow the socks off everyone as nothing else will now do.

Maybe this pathetic studio can hit whatever new release date the game is given. I still expect it will be a very mediocre game.
