It was due out next month and might've made a good drought killer.

Now pirate fans will have to wait a while longer to accompany Christopher Raven on his quest of vengeance. There have been some development pangs as the title bounced between Topware and Reality Pump so it's no surprise.

If you are a cult follower of Two Worlds or just love sailing pirate ships and getting into rum-soaked trouble then, as recently revealed by the titular hook-handed character himself, you are going to have to wait until mid October. There is good news though, more content is on the way and the title appears to be crossing the generational divide onto PS4 since there are next gen logos where once they were lacking.

From the Website:

– The navigator announces an arrival date of 10/14/2014 for "Raven’s Cry". Given that "Raven’s Cry" has doubled the amount of cargo in her holds, this will delay her arrival into port.

The additional loot includes the following features: New skills for the captain (a skill tree with over 25 options)

The personal story of Christopher Raven (more than 25 hours of game time in the main storyline)

Additional adventures and skirmishes (open-world setting and side quests)

An economic system with a wide variety of tradable goods and simulated price adjustments

Realistic naval combat

Depictions of the dark life of pirates (cinematic cutscenes)

Signed: Christopher Raven, Captain

It's long-since captured my interest, but it's not a high priority, and that October date… Well that's just not a good proposition for any B-game.

Good to see someone plugging this one, World. 😉

Why do you think I always call him World? It's too biblical for my liking.

Geepers, Lawless. You must hate my full first name, "Christopher". It literally means "Bearer of Christ's Name".

lol!

I approach any RPG that dare go for another setting than traditional fantasy with the most positive and open-minded attitude possible.

Role-playing games – of all genres – should really explore more roles to play.

Feudal Japan rpg, perhaps? Or China set in the same setting as the Dynasty Warrior games, but not a hack and slash, of course. An rpg.

One of my fav games of all time is Pirates the Legend of Black Kat. PS2 game. Crystal Dynamics. I think I'm the only one who bought it. But it was incredible. Bring this one on!

Argh shiver me timbers, pieces of 8 and all that yo ho ho and a bottle of rum me hearties. Thanks for the update, pretty much interested in anything game pirate related.

Such a shame that Battle Of Armada game or whatever it was called got cancelled. An RDR type of game but like Sid Meiers Pirates now that's something I would like to see.

Word. They seem to want to give us an authentic pirate life here, rather than the Hollywood version of it based on what I've read.
