Everyone has their own reasons for purchasing a new video game console.
Some do it because they must have the newest game console on the market. They're hardcore gamers and collectors. Others plunk down the cash based purely on future excitement alone; i.e., nothing about the launch lineup or launch features is enough to entice them, but they know the future is rosy.
So, why did you spend your hard-earned money on the PlayStation 4? Supposedly, around 7 million people worldwide already own the next-gen console, so obviously, people wanted the thing. The question is, why? Is it just because you're a Sony fan (or a Microsoft hater)? Or, has PlayStation simply treated you very well in the past, and you're convinced that PlayStation will remain the brand for you in the new generation? Then again, maybe you bought the PS4 and the Xbox One because A. You had the money to do it, and B. You just wanted to have access to most every great game on the horizon.
There are many who are very meticulous about relatively big purchase decisions. So feel free to be as detailed as you like with your answer! Don't worry, we won't judge. 😉
