Both are proving quite popular among the PlayStation faithful, but which was the most popular last week?

Was it the new PlayStation 4 exclusive, inFamous: Second Son , or the classic RPG high-definition overhaul that was the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster ? According to our latest poll, the latest and greatest won out.

inFamous pulled down the most votes in our latest "which did you buy?" poll, even though it's worth mentioning that plenty of readers voted "Both, definitely!" You can expect our Second Son review in less than 24 hours; if you missed it, here's our Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster review . Obviously, we'd probably recommend buying both but hey, not everyone can afford to spend over $100 in one week on video games. It didn't help that the very entertaining Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes also launched last week!

For our next poll, we want to know what you think about Sony's new "Project Morpheus;" i.e., their virtual reality initiative for the new generation. Do you desperately want to try it? Are you just a little leery? Let us know.

I've got both and it's hard to get into inFamous with FFX around.

Not all that interested in Morpheus cuz it will just be a tech-gadgety specialty peripheral at this point. It will probably bring people to Sony's booths though like 3D did.

While I am somewhat interested Morpheus, I refuse to call it VR until it's, well, actual VR. Which we probably won't have for a few decades if at all within our lifetimes.

What do you mean by "actual VR"? Sure what you mean isn't "augmented reality"?

Beam,

I'd say that he means like being able to walk around and interact with the digital world directly, rather than it just being a visual overlay.

Lawless is correct. Head-mounted displays are nice and will probably help a fair number of games be a lot more immersive. However, we do not perceive the world merely through our eyes or even just through sight and sound. Until you can actually feel yourself present in that virtual space, I can't really call it 'virtual reality'.

So basically you want the holodecks from star trek… would be awesome, but got to agree, probably not for another 50 years or so at the earliest

Hardly a surprise. For those of us with a PS4, we are starving for proper next gen games to show up. Infamous SS is going to sell handsomely just for this reason. Besides the so so Killzone, really there are no other games worth buying, IMHO.

Though I like Final Fantasy I don't feel like paying new money for old rope. I will get them later in a bundle or sale.

surprised FF did not win out, especially here!
i really wish i didnt pick up second son, its just taken everything that made 2 such a disappointment, and made it even worse!
as a superhero or supervillain your suppose to feel like a bad a$$!
but you just dont, instead of wreaking havok your politely asking for your foes to stand still in 1 spot while you can climb a distant building and hide behind the edge to give you some cover so your not immediately obliterated by the 100 people shooting at you!
your suppose to be hulk towering in front of them soaking up all their bullets and make them cower, not you doing the cowering 100KMs away perched behind a piece of cover popping and sniping at every opportunity you get.

for VR you need a depends selection.
if $ony stick with the specs they have now its going to be the most disappointing thing the companies ever made!
this will make move look like the freaking wii it will do so poorly!
you just CANT have a sub full HD screen in a VR device, you just CANT!
not to mention its not a low persistence display so your going to get allot of motion blur, and by extension splitting headaches and quickly motion sickness.
and adding to that the server screen door problems adding eye strain giving you a even worse headache and more motion sickness.
you just cant cheap out on VR, you either put in a really good display, or you end up with the virtualboy!
theres a reason why no one has tried VR for such a long time.

I'm mildly interested in the Occulus Rift as I own a PC and don't plan on getting a PS4 for quite a while. If I got a VR headset it would be for games like Fallout and The Elder Scrolls which I'd play on PC even if I had a PS4. I really doubt I'd get the Occulus though; it's a neat idea but I'm pretty happy with playing on a regular TV and saving myself several hundred bucks.

I bought them both but I'm playing the FFX|X-2 HD Remaster first since I don't have a PS4 yet (I bought inFAMOUS: Second Son just to make sure I get the limited edition). Either way, I'm sure both games will be great.

Fantastic news from the UK as I:SS debuts at the top of the sales charts followed by the PS4 version of MGS V: Ground Zeroes. FF X|X-2 HD Remaster for the PS3 makes it to #4 while the Vita version made an impressive entry at #9.
