Typically, after a new product launches, the price can only go down .
Unfortunately, not so with the PlayStation 4 in Canada. According to a Toronto Sun report , the price of Sony's new console will rise $50; from $399 to $449.
That's not the only price hike, either: The PlayStation Camera and Dual Shock 4 are going up, too; both will now cost $64.99 as opposed to $59.99. Even the software is on the rise, as both inFamous: Second Son and MLB 14: The Show now sport $69.99 price tags (they were $64.99). Seem strange? Well, not really, as Sony says this is a response to "changes in the market environment," perhaps due to the weakened Canadian dollar.
Whatever the reason(s), it looks like Canadian gamers are gonna have to shell out a little more.
