It's unfortunate but we sort of saw this coming.

The highly anticipated, hugely ambitious role-playing game from developer CD Projekt Red, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt , has been delayed .

It was supposed to come out this fall but now it won't be ready until February 2015. In a letter to their fans, the studio made it plain that they could've produced Wild Hunt for the fall, but the level of quality wouldn't be up to par. Those few extra months of development time will give the game a chance to shine:

"We recently reexamined what we had achieved thus far, and faced a choice about the game's final release date. The decision we made was difficult, thoroughly considered, and ultimately clear and obvious. We could have released the game towards the end of this year as we had initially planned. Yet we concluded that a few additional months will let us achieve the quality that will satisfy us, the quality gamers expect from us. Consequently, we have set the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for February 2015."

Honestly, a few more months isn't that long to wait. Given the massive size and scope of this title, I actually expected it to get pushed even farther. It's too bad we won't get The Witcher 3 for the holiday season, but I actually like this news. It means we won't have to try and play such a ridiculously humongous game among all the other holiday games on the way.

That's what's known as a "silver lining."

Meh, it's just a few months and these guys always deliver. I expect to put well over 200hrs into this game.

Disappointing. …PS4 collecting more dust… Man, with these delays AND the ps plus ps3 free games lately, I certainly did not need a ps4 yet.

Stay Classy PSX…

As much as I love the thing I completely understand where you are coming from. 2 months ago I wouldn't have agreed.

… And so my decision to wait with the PS4 purchase increased another step in sense.

This autumn, Dragon Age Inquisition. That's the moment.

not exactly surprising we havent seen or heard boo since E3 last year!
really wish they stuck with their original style of development and did the PC version first, released that, than did a console version after.
that way the PC version probably would of been out well within the year, and theres less worries of it getting dumbed down to fit those meager 4 year old pcs.
sorry, i mean "next gen" consoles.
