Yes, some games are definitely more important than others.
When examining the PlayStation 4, which upcoming title do you believe will have the biggest impact on Sony's next-gen systems? Is it one we've already heard about, or is that game yet to be announced?
Might it be the new Uncharted ? As the series that was arguably the greatest franchise of the previous generation, one would assume that Uncharted 4 is going to be absolutely gigantic for the PS4. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to hear that many gamers are holding off on purchasing Sony's next-gen console until this game is available. Sony claims development of the game wasn't affected by writer Amy Hennig's departure , but I'm not so sure I believe that. At the very least, you've lost a critical member of the team.
Then again, maybe it's inFamous: Second Son , which is just around the corner. The start of a generation is always critical, especially when the launch lineup didn't exactly blow everyone away. The latest inFamous installment might be the game that pushes the PS4 to even loftier heights early on in this generation. You could also make the argument that Quantic Dream's new project (whatever it is) is going to be massive for the PS4. Heavy Rain was a phenomenon but Beyond: Two Souls didn't quite live up to expectations, so that's up in the air…
Oh, and don't forget Thatgamecompany, although their new project will probably be multiplatform. Still, Journey was so amazing that one can't help but wonder what this talented group has in store for us. What do you think?
