Ready for a next-gen Batman ?
Well, it'll be on the cover of the April issue of Game Informer , so you can learn all about it soon. For now, we know it's called Batman: Arkham Knight , it's coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2014, and Rocksteady is back at the helm.
Yep, the developers that produced Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are back, which is good news because last year's Origins (developed by an internal Warner Bros. team) wasn't quite as amazing as its predecessors. Arkham Knight will feature an even larger Gotham City, players will be able to drive the Batmobile, and Penguin, Two-Face, Harley Quinn, and Scarecrow are confirmed adversaries for the Caped Crusader. However, bear in mind that this is the ultimate climax, as Rocksteady co-founder Sefton Hill said in an interview:
"We kind of feel like this is the natural end to the story. We want to kind of go out in style."
I sorta hoped Rocksteady would resurrect Superman, or something. Maybe they'll tackle that when the Batman story arc is complete.
