If you haven't sampled the stirring multiplayer component in Killzone: Shadow Fall yet, now's the time.
The game's first free update has arrived and to celebrate, Sony Computer Entertainment and Guerrilla Games are offering one free week of multiplayer fun . It's open to all PlayStation 4 owners as of today, March 3.
No, you don't need to be a PlayStation Plus member and in fact, you don't even need a physical copy of the game. A free client will be available for download so you can try things out! If you opt to play the free trial, you can compete on global leaderboards in Capture and Team Deathmatch, and all clans are eligible to win the Clan Community Challenge. We don't yet know what the prizes will be for the winners, but there's no harm in giving it a go.
In our Killzone: Shadow Fall review , we complimented the multiplayer's great variety and customization. It's definitely worth trying!

"It's all about celebrating that free update. Of course it is! No, Titanfall launching at the end of this week had nothing to do with this decision. We wanted to show the PS fans that we really appreciate that they've come with us on this journey of the PS4. What better way to do that than by offering for free the most popular portion of our highest rated major title to date."
I love that they just quietly put it out there as if the timing is coincidental…
Tech specs don't make a game great. And Titanfall runs at 60FPS, FYI.
i have the game and i haven't played the multi yet and i haven't been able to complete the single player yet so i don't need to download anything
happy gaming =)
BTW fellas
Killzone Shadow Fall Multiplayer runs at a resolutiom of 960×1080. That's 1,036,800 pixels. Just barely HD at 60FPS.
For comparison, Titanfall runs at 1408×792 which is 1,115,136 pixels at 60FPS.
Just getting tired of false advertisements and children mentioning resolution in every one of their sentences. Do polygons and art direction matter anymore?
Let me get this straight, you complain about other people talking about game resolutions, and frame rates, but you need to mention it as well.
Pot, calling kettle black much.
Read comments above me.
That's interesting. Not overly interesting, but a little interesting. I'd argue that neither of the Fall's has a tempting art design, but that's just me. And just to add more fuel to the fire, the MP of SF actually runs at an average closer to 50fps than 60. 😛

Lawless, people don't understand that 60FPS doesn't mean 60FPS. It's simply advertisement. I don't really care though. I happen to have both next gen systems. I wasn't necessarily implying that KZ or TF had amazing art design, just simply stating that people don't care what they're playing as long as they see "1080p" or "60FPS". I just get tired of repeptition. Since when was "X title runs at [resolution]" gaming journalism news anyways? Never. Somehow this gen made it the biggest news possible. Anyway, /rant! I'm not a grumpy old man yet. I have ways to go!
This is good news to me. Maybe the community will grow a little bit. It is rather small ATM.
Fully agree on the banality of the Xp/Xfps headlines. And I was just stirring 🙂
Wish I had my ps4 already, I'm a big fan of events that allow you to play games for free. Great way to try them out. Found I liked some games I didn't think I would that way.
I hate making my download list humongous! So I don't download the DEMOS for EVERY game Sony PROVIDES for users at the PSStore.
Well I don't download everything, if it is a gameplay style I really don't enjoy I usually won't download it unless there is nothing else, but I do download most things.
When I downloaded the demo for the first Infamous, I thought it was some kind of dancing game. I was pleasantly surprised.
The only FPS I enjoyed playing online was Resistance (1-3). I've played Shadow Fall and honestly after one round of TDM, I get bored. I'm the type of online gamer that prefers to play Co-op.
Working together is much more enjoyable, at least for me.

Resistance 2 was so fun in group co op.
I didn't even try it before I sold it.
I been surfing this site for over 7 year now and only posted here but once before (on a lost account).
Now does anyone know where I can find this? It's past 5pm for the download and I don't see it any place. Contacted PS Support they did not even know anything about this after talking to 3 people.
