Looks like the backlash registered with Konami.
After it was revealed that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes wasn't very long (some estimates as low as 2 hours), gamers started to wonder if that experience would be worth the money.
Prior to today, the regular retail versions of this prelude would sell for $40 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while the downloadable editions would go for $30. Well, as a slight concession to consumers, Konami has announced that the physical copies of Ground Zeroes for the PS4 and Xbox One will cost $30.
The $10 price drop only applies to the next-gen, boxed versions. The prices for the PS3 and 360 versions remain the same; physical copies will sell for $30 while digital versions will cost $20. So, this is just more incentive to grab the actual box from the retailer, right? And we hope you're planning on playing this bad boy on a next-gen machine…
