Original Story:
A new trailer for the PlayStation 4 exclusive title, The Order: 1886 , has arrived.
It's a very slick video that focuses on the history behind the narrative. For instance, it appears we get a glimpse of the Knights of the Round Table…or maybe it's just a bunch of dudes standing around a table holding swords.
Either way, it's appropriately atmospheric, and the end of the trailer has a definite survival/horror vibe. Of course, The Order is a third-person action game, but don't forget that developer Ready at Dawn says gamers can expect multiple mechanics, so maybe stealth and survival elements will factor in. It's just too bad that we still don't have any gameplay, which is what I really want.
No estimated release date, either, if you're wondering. But the trailer is still well worth watching.

I so badly want to be excited for this game. All this new trailer did was heighten my anxiety about its potential quality. Damn it!

Okay. Saw the NEW gameplay trailer. I am very happy with what I saw! It's looking fantastic. Just wish I knew when it was coming. I suppose it doesn't matter – it's going to be a must buy anyway!

Definitely looks promising. I've been reading in some sites that there is another trailer scheduled to come out later today. Not sure if it's bogus. If it is, then it's inevitable we'll see that 4000 word wall of text from our favorite commentator xD
I still do not understand the hype surely we all learned a lesson last gen to not trust promotional trailers without gameplay footage. Dead Island being the primary example, It had a stunning CGI video but the game was so dull. I'll see what I think of it when I see what the gaemplay is like, until then… I am not fussed.
There is already some gameplay footage shown and it's visual fidelity is as good as the cutscenes.

Ya, you're right. I just watched it on joystiq. Looks rather promising and I'm sure Ben will update with the gameplay video.
No wonder I didn't care about this game, no gameplay lol, this gen doesn't need this kind of useless trailers who are the worst way to promote a new franchise.

This was one of two videos that were supposed to be released, or so I heard. I just watched a 4 minute gameplay vid on youtube and it looks pretty good. Very Gears of War like. The atmosphere looks great though. I'll keep an eye on this one.

Yep I have seen what is termed as seemless shift from gameplay to cutscenes. AND if it true based on what they are allowing to be shown right now. WOW!
My concern is in more intense situations they will be forced to knock down the quality and framerate to the overall game to compensate.
If they have dug in to the PS4 architecture and have understood and utilized all its resources to give the gamer what they are showing of the "gameplay" then yep, I am stoked… but still cautious.
Heres hoping!! I still think this may get delayed until after the holidays for an early 2015, but again, I hope not, but I would want them to make it as good as they can and as bug free as they can.

There are several video on YouTube you can find about the game, there's a HD gameplay video out there, just search The Order 1886 – New Leak Gameplay Footage. I'd say its pretty sweet.

Shows promise but if this thing is really due out in like eight months Ready at Dawn has some long nights ahead of them…
Agreed, the visuals are nice, but it certainly was barren.
You guys all recently had a go at QTE's in games.
After looking at the gameplay trailer, it seems as though they are implementing QTE's in a completely new way, having the option of multiple QTE's within a single event.
Finally a game which is a 3rd person combat focused game
Looks pretty good and all, but I find myself suddenly not as excited as I was. Probably has something to do with the fact that I found that gameplay video to be kinda weird in that a lot of the movements and that were unclear. Definitely gonna have to see more of it.
gonna be amazing this, just wish they were not sticking to the weird aspect ratio!
one thing that drives me NUTS about movies, the black bars sitting above and below the image i can see this is going to go it to me again.
please remedy give people the option to switch to the normal 16:9 mode!
