Driveclub was supposed to be a launch title for the PlayStation 4, but it ended up getting delayed.
Maybe that's a good thing, though. Maybe it gave developer Evolution Studios the extra time they needed to really blow us away. The level of detail racing aficionados should expect from the cars and environment is…well, high. The information was discovered by DualShockers , as they cited a few "hidden paragraphs" at Sony's "Be Moved" website :
"Artists imagine new worlds. Engineers bring them to life. DriveClub is a new driving game that takes realism to the next level. Every location is precise down to the angle of light. Flora is detailed to the species. The cars are made of a staggering 250,000 polygons. So the feeling of driving is as real as the world created."
That's kinda nutty. It might be difficult to notice all these intricate little details when we're flying along in a supercar but hey, the effort is always appreciated. Driveclub may simultaneously appeal to the racing fan and the technical lover in many gamers, which is why it shouldn't be overlooked when it finally arrives. By the way, recently acquired evidence says the anticipated racer will arrive on March 18 in North America.
