Hiroshi Kawano, President of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia dropped a few tantalizing words on Famitsu indicating upcoming PS4 news.

The interview, translated by Dualshockers , focused largely on the addition of the Asian market to Sony Japan's portfolio. Towards the end the president seemed to want to get a little something extra into his remarks:

“We plan to release new games at a regular pace. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will launch in March, produced by Hideo Kojima. After that, even if I can’t disclose them now, we have various games incoming. We’re currently considering how to announce them, so stay tuned.”

That's good to hear. As we look at the release schedule for Japanese games in the near future they mostly seem to be landing on the PS3. It probably makes a certain amount of sense to wait until the PS4 launches in Japan before divulging some of these unannounced titles.

For our part we hope that whatever these games are they don't take too long to reach western shores.

The last guardian as a japan release title would probably move every PS4 they had ready in stores & start the whole cycle of demand crushing supply!
It would certainly make me pre order one.
Most likely its driveclub & a bunch of japan only titles we've never heard of.

@BigDanT

The Last Guardian is a project by the company that made ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. Both were legends among PS2 games. The company seems to have skipped an entire generation, when The Last Guardian got pushed to a PS4 project, with only the HD rerelease of ICO and SoC on PS3 actually BEING released.

People are REALLY anticipating this.

I don't understand why they don't do stuff like that, Japanese companies don't seem to want money.

I suppose it'd be naive of me to hope for a JRPG in there.

Japan PS4 launch could definitely be a great venue for announcements for soon to come games for the year.

As some have said, but I am not getting my hopes up, Last Guardian would be nice.

AND I being a big fan of the classic movies and for years had hoped a decent game version would emerge … it would be fantastic and appropriate for them to announce… an exclusive… massive game… of enormous proportions … that EVERYONE (me anyway) has been waiting for… the one… the only… GODZILLA game!!!

Okay, it may sound ridiculous, but being a fan of the classic Godzilla movies.. it would just be beautiful for them to announce it… and would bring a tear to my eye and fulfill a childhood dream. Rodan would be nice too.

Keep playing!

PS – one can dream can't they?
