If you're a Dish customer and you happen to be a PlayStation fan, we've got good news.

Dish didn't only announce a bunch of new Joey devices at CES. As reported by Engadget , the company has announced an app for PlayStation that brings Dish's streaming content to the PS3 and PS4.

Dish customers can utilize the Hopper's functionality via its Virtual Joey software on both consoles, which means you can access your favorite TV shows whenever you like. This can be controlled with the standard Dual Shock 4 PS4 controller, or the regular Dish remote. The app should be ready to go some time this spring, and that will help solidify the PlayStation brand's well-earned position in the living room. A true-blue entertainment hub, you don't need any other device in your entertainment center!

Cable companies better watch it. The commercials on TV are rapidly becoming unbearable for me and considering the absolute atrocious quality of most shows I'm seeing these days, I might just be going all streaming soon. I'd have everything I need, I think.

Dish and its hopper can go shuck corn. With the quality of shows out there I think both dish and cable are on borrowed time.

The company is genuinely called 'Dish'?…

In anycase, I am dreading when I eventually get a PS4 and to see that it is flooded with redundant streaming services – I just don't see the need for there being so many, even supermarkets own a streaming service no in the UK, it's just getting silly.

Dish network (dish for short). It and directv are the only satellite tv providers here in America, at least that I know of.

PS4 is not flooded with streaming services like Xbox One is. It is however flooded with ads.

I already went to cancel my cable. The cable company managed to convince me to keep basic cable for $16 per month along with 55% off my internet costs… Now, I have to make sure I cancel in 2 years when the offer expires, but I ended up saving more than the cost of the cable I was paying for and I still get some live sports.

Not every day you save more money by keeping cable than if you cancelled it altogether. lol

Really surprised by this considering Dish makes me people pay extra for every joey they have in their house.

If you can use your ps3's and ps4's to work exactly like the joey does now, then I'll be able to save some money and view my shows in more rooms in my house than ever before.

Works for me.
