The great – and free – Spec 2.0 update is now available and the anticipated downloadable content has been dated.
Firstly, the Spec 2.0 update features a cockpit view for all standard cars, 2011 NASCAR cars, better load times, additional functionality and control for online multiplayer, and compatibility for the Logitech G25/G27 racing wheels. We heard about the upcoming batch of DLC a few weeks ago, but we only knew it'd release some time soon. So here comes the first paid DLC; as revealed at the PlayStation Blog , it'll be available next week on October 18.
There will be four separate packs. The Course Pack will feature SPA-Francorchamps and Kart Space layouts I and II for $4.99, The Car Pack will give you 15 new vehicles (including the Red Bull X2011) for $7.99, the Racing Gear Pack offers 90 total suits, helmets, and other gear for $1.99, and the Paint Pack tosses in 100 new car colors for $1.99. Now, if you want all four, you can get 'em for the bargain price of $11.99. Just more additions that make the best simulator we've seen even better.
