Although it hasn't been confirmed that Blizzard will bring Diablo III to consoles, we keep seeing evidence that it might happen eventually.
The latest comes from a European interview with game director Jay Wilson, where he talks about "experimenting" with console-based controls.
He says they've been fiddling around with an Xbox 360 controller, and they've found that it works very well. In fact, he says this direct control can "feel even better," which is good news. Of course, he's only talking about optional gamepad controls for the PC version, but it's still encouraging news. It means the game can easily end up on a console, although it seems apparent that PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions would likely arrive some time after the PC debut. Either way, we just want console gamers to have the opportunity.
I still remember the days of playing Diablo II with friends in college. Yeah, it was that long ago. We've been waiting a while for the third iteration.
