What you see here is the Hardened Edition for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 . And you better be happy with it, 'cuz you won't get a Prestige Edition.
We've had night-vision goggles and a remote-controlled car, but there will be no fancy, high-priced item included in a $150 special edition for the upcoming MW3. Everyone has been wondering why we haven't seen any information for this year's Prestige Edition but according to Infinity Ward boss Robert Bowling, the answer is simple: there isn't one.
He revealed as much at his Twitter page today, writing-
"There is still a Hardened Edition, that is the only collectors edition."
The Hardened Edition will cost $99.99 but it'll get you a free subscription to the Call of Duty Elite initiative, which boasts access to all DLC released for the game. You also receive in-game exclusive themes and avatars, a field journal, and other goodies. That's plenty for the CoD followers, right? Maybe Activision found that Prestige Editions weren't super big sellers…but that's hard to believe.

ben add this hardened edition with elite, lol, u see what's the reason? Sold my entire cod collection last week
Can anyone translate this?
lol
Maybe he meant his aforementioned list of things also arent big sellers. Look at Ben's last statement. "Maybe Activision found that Prestige Editions weren't super big sellers…but that's hard to believe."
"ben add this hardened edition with elite, lol, u see what's the reason? Sold my entire cod collection last week"
What is this, I don't even
I am still on the fence about which game I will buy? BF3 or MW3? Hmmm, decisions. I am bending towards BF3 though. Still have time to solidify my decision.
Ultimately I will own both, but only 1 gets my money for D1P.

I would say battlefield 3 since pre-ordering it you get goodies.
Mw3 a poster. but pre-order mw3 only if you plan on getting hardened, cause i did.
im getting both lol i like both
Kinda happy about this one saves me from worrying about not getting the best edition.
Eh. Already bought that damn remote control (toy) bomb thingy anyway. Surprised a bit that they're not have a elite ed. That's money and this is Activision we're talking about.
Activision not milking it for all it's worth? My world is turned upside down!
I don't really enjoy spending time with remote controls… and I'm pretty sure everyone that knows me would think much much less of me if I had something as creepy as night vision goggles… I say it's just as well that they focus on the important part… the video game.
Wait activision cares about the game now?
Did i miss a memo or something?
Completely off topic and unrelated to MW3. :
BOTH FINAL FANTASY VI AND CHRONO TRIGGER WILL BE HITTING THE PSN IN 1 WEEK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
…
…
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol! That's the best news in this whole thread/article!
Awwwww yah time to clown around! If you know what I mean 😉
I understand why they wouldn't call it a veteran edition. So is this COD still going to be sub-HD, it sure sounds like it.

I pre-ordered BF3 on february. Won't do the same for MW3.
I heard most of my friends talking about getting BF3 only and a little group saying they will be getting both. I hope BF3 sells more than MW3.
That would be great, but I don't think it will considering how popular CoD is.
But the sales doesn't matter to me, the game does.
I preordered BF3 before you were all born.
But seriously I agree, I think BF3 deserves some high quality sales numbers.
Indeed, BF3 is more high quality in my opinion, but it seems mediocrity reigns. :/
ZenChichiri,
What?…….Wait….
I'm pretty sure that although we were fighting North Korea around that time,
even Battlefield-1 wasn't out that early in 1951 yet, LMAO

Did the guy with all the bright marketing ideas for CoD leave IW as well? I guess all those Youtube creeps are going to be disappointed with this news. Personally I'm hoping for another $20 credit from Amazon. Without that it's a no go.
I would assume only those wishing to join their new money syphon; COD ELITE, will be buying this edition. The ELITE program alone is 50.00….so in the end you'll save yourself about ten bucks than if you were to buy them seperately.
I don't know why they aren't creating a Premium package for Modern Warfare 3 since there's an ample amount of sheep who buy that crap. Whatever…
Final Fantasy VI on PSN? Awesome! My favourite Final Fantasy game.
cant wait for chrono trigger, it was my 2nd fav game on PSone after FFVII
friends assassins creed revelations will come bundled with assassins creed 1, omg, that's such a big news
🙁
