Even if you've never heard of the game, this bit of news brings up an interesting question.

Malicious is a downloadable action title in which the hero utilizes a shape-changing cloak. The game never made it out of Japan but maybe the new version will: according to Andriasang citing Dengeki PlayStation and Famitsu, the PlayStation Vita will receive a Malicious port. The handheld version will boast some new elements (which remain veiled) and like its predecessor, it'll be available as a digital download. We don't get a release date or price but at least we know it's coming. Now, even if you don't care about this particular title, we're wondering how many PS3 games may make the jump to the portable world on PlayStation Vita.

The Vita is supposed to be plenty powerful, and we're willing to bet it can handle most all downloadable games on the PS3. How much crossing over will be happening in the future…?

"How much crossing over will be happening in the future…?"

Probably alot. Its a selling point for both systems and Sony would be stupid not to take advantage of it. Games that feature the ability to save to the cloud transport files from one system to the next piques my interest. I'm still curious how pricing will work, though. Would you be expected to pay full price for both versions?

Yea i was asking myself the same question bc i'm not trying to buy the game for both PS3 and Vita… Mayb they'll do a data transfer option like they do with PSX classics

I'd expect something like this:

– Full psn game PS3: 39.99

– Full psn game VITA: 39.99

– Full psn Combo PS3/Vita: 59.99

Or pay 10/20$ to upgrade your game for multiplatform. That could make sense since people who only buy a certain version don't want to pay the same price as someone who buys both versions. Heck they could even have some special pricing for + members ūüėÄ

Or by just making games like *licenses* that you buy… That *license* could give you the power to play the game both on Vita and PS3 and it would encourage people to get a Vita. Since anyway they (money hungry devs and shareholders) keep saying games are not like books and what you buy is not the game but the *right* to play… This time it could turn in our advantage… Hopefully. Just like I can install my steam games on any PC I go so long as I log in to my account no matter the different pc specs. Also they allied with steam recently… All points towards positive stuff.

This game deserves to be on a handheld, the gameplay is way over the top and I'd prefer it on the Vita over the PS3.

I think one of the many themes that Sony is trying to push with Vita development is PS3/Vita cross pollination. So, I figure we'll see a lot of this kind of thing in the future.

I'll be most interested not in games being on both systems but how it devastates what the Wii U is trying to do with making the handheld function with the console's on-screen stuff.

That's a good point… I'm actually curious about that myself
