Revelations Multiplayer Beta A PSN Timed Exclusive

Timed exclusives are always fun, aren't they?

Today, Ubisoft has announced the Assassin's Creed: Revelations multiplayer beta, which will begin on September 3 exclusively on the PlayStation 3.

It'll be available to Uplay members and PlayStation Plus members for the first week, where players can test out various characters (The Sentinel, The Vanguard, The Guardian, The Vizier, The Thespian, The Deacon, The Bombardier, The Trickster, and The Champion) and four modes. So if you get in early, you can test out Wanted, Manhunt, Deathmatch, and Artifact Assault, which is "only a sample" of the final multiplayer content that will be available. For more info and media, feel free to check out the game's official site .

Assassin's Creed: Revelations lands on November 15. It's just one of many top-tier titles for the holiday season but typically, this franchise stands out.

Well whataya know, I finally have access to be able to participate in a beta, and I can't because I'm netless.

On a side note, I'm glad to see being a u-play member does some other good than in game dlc and theme downloads.

Sonofabeesh.

It's Ubisoft paying us PS3 users back for giving Splinter Cell: Conviction to the Xbox…. Debt repaid! 😀

Speaking of which, does anybody except me believe the reason Ubisoft is making the Splinter Cell hd collection exclusive to the ps3, is because they are going to port conviction to the ps3? or maybe they are making a new Splinter Cell altogether? Usually when a developer releases an hd collection, a new release in the series is almost a guarantee.

they are making a new splinter cell game, they just have not showed much off yet.
conviction will come to the ps3 the day scooby doo serves me breakfast, and gives me the keys to a UFO!

Asses Need.

Sorry had to say that. I dunno what the point of exclusive betas really are; bragging rights?

Jaffe should announce in true Jaffe style that Playstation 3 will get be getting a timed exclusive beta for Twisted Metal. People would freak out and think it meant there would be an Xbox one later. Heh, I'd get a kick out of that.

and still the register biscuits will try to sell me an xbox copy of twisted metal……. just like they did with me when i tried to buy god of war 3. long story short, the guy felt like a retard after a long arguement, i dont know why it took so long for him to realize when he couldve just looked it up on the computer in front of him.

i read this on kotaku first and i loved the reason those morons gave about why its a timed ps3 exclusive:

maybe the ps3 version needs more work done.

really, they have to take a stab at every bit of information they have on ps3. those xbots should just play all their different ga…wait, halo and gears….. wait, if they can get their 360 working…

@world

i sense stephen totilo is a bit butt hurt about this exclusive ps3 beta. he says it in the first line of his article.

i guess it still pending, but either way, just go to kotaku, search assassin's creed. its the article talking about a ps3 multiplayer beta. i read the first line and that was it.

This would be funnier, John, if Kotaku didn't contribute to metacritic scores.

Objectivity is lost on some people. Oh the security of hiding behind a computer screen…

how are they fun?
there nothing but a massive pain in the a$$!
eh, dunno if ill download this or not, i found the MP in brotherhood really boring.
i wish they had a thief mode, and a normal combat mode.
thief mode could be so cool, have someone steal something off your character and its your job to chase them down and get it back.
or vise versa, you steal something off someone and its your job to loose them.
then a standard combat mode, where you get to enjoy the indepth advanced sword fighting in the campaign.
thats what i was expecting from ACBs MP, i was so shocked when i found out the best part of the games not there!
just assassin blades?
seriously?
come on, it would be so cool to group up with friends in a circle and thrust swords through your enemys eyeball!
