If you're familiar with the Battlefield franchise, you likely know the points system by heart.

But as many have complained of certain inconsistencies in the point structure, developer DICE has overhauled the system for the upcoming Battlefield 3 . Well, we'd like to think that's the reason why we have a new point structure, anyway. Over at the BF3Blog , the new system is shown and as you can see, more points are offered for various accomplishments. A kill now gets you 100 points, for instance. Here's the Kill and Assist point system:

Hit the link above for the M-COM objective and Support points. So, what do you think about the system? More points is always good, right? Of course, there will always be some gamers who can find something to complain about; i.e., "oh, that should be worth more…this is messed up !" Well, get over it and just have fun.

One thing I look forward to battlefield 3 is the fact that they have decided to make spawntrapping a thing of the past.

On black ops and all other call of duty games it really sucks to get spawntrapped as it is unfair and a bad skill.

For the most part, it all looks about the same with just minor tweaks. But that's fine, the game was rather balanced point wise anyways (older version i mean)

I feel as though that may be too much.

Knife kills aren't that hard to get. In my opinion, it should be either 150 or 200 points for a knife kill, 300 seems like overkill.

They weren't too hard to get in the older games but I believe they've said it will be harder to get them in this game. You have to equip your knife to get one-hit kills, and from the front you can't instantly kill them. You have to knife them three times for them to die, so I believe it will be balanced. Not to mention the damage is a little higher this time from Bad Company 2, so it will be harder to reach the target than before.

in the alpha they were really hard to get, especially with the quick scoping even if you managed to sneak up on a enemy another would take you down even before you got close!
only time you will be getting knife kills is if someone is planting or disarming a bomb, but even then its really hard, again because of the quick scoping.
they really need to remove that, its just ridiculous!
i mean how are you suppose to survive when you have a bulls eye over your head, and everyone can see you from the other side of the map!?

only things they really need to change is the quick scoping, recoil and health.

quick scoping is really unbalanced, i mean how are you suppose to sneak up on enemies, hell how are you suppose to survive when you have a marker over your head, and enemies can see you from the other side of the camp!?

recoil is no where near high enough!
accuracy is just ridiculous, if i had a nickle for everytime someone sniped me with a f*cking HMG from 200KMs away id be a multibillionare by now!
since when are HMGs snipers?
also if i had a nickle for every time i saw a enemy run past, so i hide behind the corner then they start spraying before they enter the room and i die, again id be a multibillionare by now!
no one scopes, or at least fires in controlled bursts, because theres no need to!
you can pick up a HMG and just spray the whole match, and every bullet you fire will be as accurate as a 20 year swat sniper veteran!

recoil needs to be WAY higher, and machiene gun scopes need to be allot less zoomed.
i was wondering why no one was using the recon class, now i know.
because theres no need to!
why use a sniper, when you can use a HMG and get the same scoping & accuracy capabilities?
snipers are built to kill over long distances.
HMGs are NOT!
so why am i constantly getting sniped by HMGs, and not snipers?

last but by far the worst, health.
i had to laugh when DICE executive producer said to gameinformer "were not making a typical kids twitch shooter, theres actual tactics and team work required in our game."
really?
so thats why whoever sees the opponent first always wins?
does not matter what weapon you use, what distance your at, whether your scoping or just firing from the hip, if your firing in controlled bursts or spraying.
great example if i had a nickle for every time i caught up to a enemy killing one of my friends but then ran out of ammo, so i start shooting him with my machine gun, and he starts shooting me with his pistol.
you would think id win because im using a machine gun, but not he wins because he started firing first.
what the?
pistols do MORE damage then freaking machine guns!?
thats news to me!!!!!
or even when i was using my sniper, again that happened to me heaps of times.
pistol vs sniper…… yea i think i know who would win!
but id be wrong.
none of that matters, whoever twitches first wins simple as that!
theres no tactics evolved what so ever, its just turned into a i saw you first so i win contest!
not a twitch shooter my a$$!
this is as tactical a game as freaking bowling!!!!!
